On February 24, 2009 GETAB, in partnership with School College Work Initiative Grand River Region, Grand Erie District School Board, Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, Mohawk College, St. Leonard’s Community Services and Haldimand County will host the 2nd Yes You Can at Mohawk College.
Young women from Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk high schools will learn about the education and career paths taken by local trades women working across the region.
A challenging, skilled trade competition (still a secret) will put participants’ skills to the test as they race to finish the best ???
“Jobs in the skilled trades and technology sectors provide excellent opportunities for women” states Jill Halyk, Executive Director of GETAB. “These high skilled jobs provide good job security and economic independence”.
