Grand River Region Planning Team

One of:

• Sixteen Regional Planning Teams in Ontario
• The smallest Regional Planning Teams (geographically and by number of partner organizations)
• The most active and innovative

Core partners include:

• Two school districts (Grand Erie District School Board and Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board) and
• Two colleges (Mohawk College-Brant and Fanshawe College-Simcoe)

School Within a College (SWAC) program:

• One of the first fully operational dual credit programs
• Open to all schools of the boards
• Continues to expand
• Recommended as a model by provincial SCWI staff

Other partner organizations:

Nipissing-Brantford

• Professional development activities for pre-service teachers, as well as practicing teachers and college faculty
• Designed to smooth the transition of all students to post-secondary

St. Leonard’s Community Services & Grand Erie Training and Adjustment Board

• Since 2004, taking lead (with all partner organizations) in offering forums
